Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri ha sido la gran triunfadora de la 75ª edición de los premios concedidos por la Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood (HFPA). La película de Martin McDonagh se ha hecho con cuatro de los seis premios a los que optaba: Mejor Drama, Guión, Actriz (Frances McDormand) y Actor de Reparto (Sam Rockwell).

El año pasado Moonlight venció en Drama y La La Land en Comedia/Musical, y el mejor director fue Damien Chazelle, que después se haría también con el Oscar. En cuanto a las categorías interpretativas, la coincidencia con la Academia se dio en los premios de Emma Stone, Viola Davis y Casey Affleck.

Lady Bird ha sido la ganadora en Comedia, Guillermo del Toro ha sido el mejor director por The Shape of Water, y la producción alemana In the Fade, ha sido la elegida como la mejor película de habla no inglesa.
